Deb, Roger is a super nice guy too. He's got a funny sorta sense of humor i 
think. I always stop and see him and usually a few times during a show. We 
have his framed Jorgensen's Fancy, with fly and print of same by a different 
artist all in one frame. It's the single most expensive "Piece" we have. Was 
$400 but we paid #360 because of our 10% CFFC&M membership discount. It was 
hanging in the CFFC&M gift shop for like three years, and we finally broke 
down and got it the night of the CFFC&M Christmas party a couple yrs. back. 
Boy i'm even more glad we did now. I've been tempted to get more of Roger's 
i don't know how many times since. Reason being, i really like the way he 
puts a fly and a print in the same frame. I have so very little wallk space 
left it's "redickalus." Not to mention closet and room doors, kitchen 
cabinets, the bathroom, LMAO. Your gonna "wig" when you finally get her 
girl. Your so right about the tyers too. They are all very giving people. 
Never met one either that is uptight about what they know. Pretty cool.

I ordered a couple of exhibition hooks from Ron Reinhold to save for my
collection.  It took him a little longer than he would like to make one of
them.  It wasn't an easy hook to make.  I ordered the mirror salmon hook
because it was so unique.  I knew I wasn't going to tie on them so I told
him I wasn't in a hurry.   He ended up sending me an extra exhibition hook
in my order.
He's a very nice guy.  His hooks are really special.  He was very helpful
when I asked him my questions about making hooks and vintage hooks also.
I feel like I got into fly tying at the right time.  It is refreshing to 
see
how open most of these guys are.  They are so willing to teach someone else
and share their knowledge.
I remember one of the first fly tying shows I went to I asked Roger Plourde
what kind of glue he uses on his flies when he really gets stuck in a
pickle...  the gentleman next to me had this terrible look on his face...
Ya had to see it!  Roger just smiled and told me what he used.  So I had to
give the guy a see I told ya so look.  :)  I love to visit with him at 
every
show.  He laughed at some of my first questions but he always answered 
them.
I really haven't run into anyone that won't answer questions and help out
yet, not any that come to mind anyway.

Summit in Oct. of 2003.....Ron Reinhold was there, and he did a talk
demonstration all about hooks. It was WAY COOL! He also brought his
collection to show us. He had them all affixed to big 1/4 inch thick poster
boards and labled. So many different kinds it was mind boggling. An a huge
collection of antique hooks too. Plus all the ones he makes. It was a 
really

cool thing to get to meet him, and learn all that stuff about hooks. He's
really a nice guy like Deb said. I'm going to put in an order with him 
soon,

for a bunch of seconds. He sells the seconds for $5 each. You can't even
tell they're seconds, but he can. You'd have to use a magnifying glass to
tell. I think his good ones go from $11 up to over $30 each. He's a 
stickler

for perfection. And his hooks really show it. They're works of art
themselves. I sure hope they do that "Summit" again sometime. It's not 
every

year. They've had it three times in like 5/6 yrs. later, mark
