Most involve making a kind of putty or paste with the ground Fuller's Earth and a liquid ranging from liquid hand wash, to a wetting agent like Jet Dri, to glycerin. Wipe the goop on your tippet to absorb grease and oils (that float the tippet) and in the case of the Jet Dri, add a coating that breaks the surface tension of the water surface.
