Joyce, Down here in Louisiana there is no need for the "small" flies...The smallest you'd need would be a size 12 for panfish. Any samller than that and you start catching bait. Several times I've already caught golden shiners while fishing for gills. Another reason I don't do much dubbing anymore...I'll probably tie and dub a few flies when I go to Sowbug in March, but most of the stuff I'll be taking will be nymphs and streamers.
