VMC makes the smallest hooks I've ever been able to find, #34's. Smaller
bend than a Mustad #32, but a longer shank, like a streamer hook. Spade
eye, shaped and hardened violin or piano wire, barbless. Cool hook, tough
to tie on, too.
The Mustad is a forged hook, barbed, spade eye, and is much easier to tie
on.

BTW, the Tiemco #32 is not even in the same class- it's the size of Mustad
#28.

Mark:

VMC is a French hook maker and VMC stand for Viellard-Migeon and Company

I thought that they had been taken over recently, but I may be wrong.

VMC is hook maketr, but I've truly only used their
trebles on some of my spoons and spinners I made for
Great Lakes fishing. I've never used their fly hooks
and they aren't available down here in Louisiana.
they were readily available in the area of Michigan
where I used to live. I can't remember what country
they were from though...
