Del, yes Guinea is great for soft hackles, and many other things as well.
Wings on Salmon flies and wets, throats on salmon flies, even palmered
hackle, or ribed hackle. Can also make tails and or tail vailings out of it.
A local guy here also uses it for the feathers on his arrows, to go with the
bows he makes. You can have half, and Chaz can have the other half of what i
have saved. My birds will always drop more. There are about 14 different
Guinea species/kinds/whatever that i know of and i have a couple different

    I take it that you raise them. Are they penned or free range? Also, other than the feathers, what are they good for? Are they tastey? You mentioned arrow fletching, arnt they kinda short feathers for that?
