Traditional? What's that? Here is my short list.
Favorite dry- #18 yellow humpy
Favorite nymph- #16 killer kaddis with a kicker (just use a brassie ptn gene splice)
Favorite combo- #14 adams hairwing topper with a kkk dropper (name not meant to offend)
Trifecta- #16 green Murf's hairwing stimulator, #16 hairwing adams, #16 Byard's secret kkk
Respected highly- WRD, Froggie (sorry, I can't bring myself to soil Tony's flys)
Speaking of frogs, has anyone noticed that some real nice deer-hair frogs are out there but if you look at them from the fish view, they are all one color? I got some for a buddy that had nice colors, banding, eyes on top but were all white underneath. He thinks they are great but I didn't have the gutts to say I thought they were about as good as a bobber. He even gave me a few as he thought it a favor for buying him some so cheap at the UMD show. No heart to tell him I like my tie much better even though these look prettier from the top.

If you could only fish for trout with 1 fly of traditional style what would it be ?
