Numb Butt Fly Company actually exists. It is a flyshop run by Merril Hummer in Bend, Oregon. Originally the name came from the original business focus which was good quality, low cost, locally tied flies. The income from guiding pretty much changed all that. The shop has been beset by wanderlust, bouncing from Bend to Madras and recently moving back to Bend.
