Wes, i've met Fanny at the FFF I.C. a couple times with Mel and at the IWFF Festival. She certainly is one wonderfully beautiful and gracious lady. My wife served as the chariman of the Club Laison Committee and on the board of the IWFF for a few years and is now the official Goodwill Ambassador for that committee which Fanny now chairs. Anyone who wishes to get his wife and or girlfriend involved with fly fishing should have them contact the IWFF, asap. It's a great organization. mark

I was so impressed that on one of my west coast business trips, I contacted Mel and asked if he would spend a few hours with me at the casting ponds in
Golden Gate Park. What a great guy. I paid for two hours of instruction.
I met him at HIS HOUSE, he took me to lunch and HE PAID. We got to the
casting ponds at 1 PM. At 7PM I had to leave for dinner. He was still going strong and would have stayed till midnight. I could not get him to take any
additional money

Mel and Fannie Krieger are really wonderful folks. Linda and I had the pleasure of staying one night at their house which is just off the north edge of Golden Gate Park and within walking distance of the Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club ponds. When Mel moved to San Francisco, his choice of location for his residence was VERY deliberate! *grin*

Fannie is the Founder of the Golden West Women Flyfishers and the International Women's Fly Fishing Festival. She is also one heck of a chef!
