That speckled badger from Whiting is a great color to have.  It's very
buggy!!!
Get a good grizzly and a brown and you should be off to a good start. 
If you want to buy these three from the co-op it would save you a lot of
money and give you nice variety to work with.  You may not get the nicest
quality in a starter kit and that will add frustration to your learning
curve.  Whiting wraps a lot nicer around the hook if you get a poor quality
hackle it will twist on you and that also affects the way the fly fishes.
You can end up with a lot of junk hackle when you first start out.  I give
mine to my kids to tie with now....   :0)
