Mark.. Thanks... Yeah, My wife works now as a long distance operator, but
she has worked here for yrs in sewing factories (till NAFTA stole em all
away to below the border :(:(:( ).. But there are a few still open, and I
was calling out the different type threads used in tying from my Cabelas
catalog, along with the snip and scissor prices etc, and she said she could
get that cheaper and without having to payt S&H.. We also have a place
called "Greene's" here and I used to as a kid, buy Este's Rockets there, it
is a hobbie/craft store, and when it comes to crafts, if they don't have it,
you probably don't need it.. So, I'm gonna put together a list and go there
and "compare".. Thanks, Chuck

I, too, have the thin wallet...but if you look you can find materials
to tie flies with at many diferent places, often fairly
cheaply...dollar sotres, craft stores, sewing stores, etc.
Unfortunately decent hackle isn't found at any of those places.
that's the one place where you are better off spnding your money on
decent hackle. Some of the Whiting hackle swaps that byard
occasionally runs are great deals. Many of my fly tying materials
have comemout of the craft store (but not the good hackle!!). So
youdon't have to break the bank to get the material you need.
