I made an assumption that you did not want to spend $1700-1900 for a YAK. There is a company in South Africa that makes out of this world Yaks. http://www.kayak.co.za/kaskazi/skua.htm http://www.kayak.co.za/kaskazi/pelican.htm and http://www.kayak.co.za/kaskazi/dorado.htm BTW, I have yak'd and canoed since I was a teenager. And have fished from a Yak for the past 6 years. The reason I can comment on different models is that I have demo'd them all. Was the kayak fishing guru at both RiverQuest Kayaks and at Travel Country Outdoors. The reps would beat a path to your door to get you to push their Yaks. I have been sponsored over the years by Ocean Kayaks, Heritage Kayaks Perception and Current Designs. In Fact I was asked to field test and promote the Perception Caster 12.5 (SOT) and the Current Design Kestrel 120 (SIK). ( still have both -freebies) I am currently waiting for another new model from Current Design. JG
