Well if I were to use a bobber I'd use poly yarn. But why not put it on a
hook and maybe add a parachute post and a small amount of hackle? This way
when the fish hits your indicator (which happens a lot) you get a hook up. I
have a pattern I use for a simple hex  that I often use as a strike
indicator. It's yellow poly yarn body and tail with a pink poly yarn post
and brown or white hackle tied on a size 12 hook.
