I thought that might be it. Clean it out as best you can because it builds
bulk at the tie in point also and can cause the hair to loosen up when wet
and pull out. Keeps the fly a little more attractive to humans also but the
fish doesn't care. I've never used baby powder but I bet you smell real
nice afterwards, might keep the wife from complaining about your new hobby.

BINGO!!! I JUST went in there and stacked some real soft buck tail hair, but
this time I made SURE all the under fur was out, and it was much better,
Thanks, Chuck

Chuck
I'm curious as to what you're using to clean the under fur out before you
try stacking it? Possibly you aren't getting all that soft under fur out of
the hair before you try to even the tips in the stacker???

Folks: I am having really bad problems with my hair stacker when using any
hair finer than, say Elk hair... I tap it repeatedly on the table, and like
my DVD said.. I put a little baby powder on the hair stacker sides and even
on the hair, but I still get uneven ends on hair that is not stiff... Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance, Chuck
