Thanks Deb:

I have been getting into so many materials and techniques/fly styles
lately, but some I have no idea about. Tube flies in Australia are a
rarity, at least around Victoria. I am heading to New Zealand for a
month in December(hiking through NZ and fishing my way along) and would
love to take some Salmon tubies with me.

The actual tube is made of what exactly? Here I saw a pack of two tubes
for around AU$7.00. Is it possible to make it up myself? Is it meant to
be soft or hard??

Any good sites re: tube flies to recommend?

Thanks again,

Reuven

Sorry Deb but you won't be learning from me!!!
I have never tied one b4 and have only come across one for tuna...it
will def. Be a learning experience though for me.
If someone else has more experience and really wants to do it then I
understand if they want to replace me. However, I would still like a
try.

Todd
I have about seven people so far. The majority of that are signing up
are most likely going to tie salmon flies but there are a few salties so
I can't at this point say they will all be salmon. There are several
international tyers so far so I can tell you I don't think you'll be
disappointed because you can learn from all of them.
This is the list I have so far....

1 Deb Duran
2 Ginger Allen
3 Iain Short
4 Reuven Segal
5 Tommy Olinnson - Scandinavian tubefly
6 Eddie Dillon
7 Todd Skibbe ?

I would be interested in a salmon/steelie tube swap.
