Melbourne, Australia
The books here are very expensive (not to mention materials), and being a
returned student and new dad, I need to watch money, which is especially
difficult because I am 1) a fisherman and 2) a fly fisherman and worst of
all 3) a fly tier. I was thinking of Amazoning (a new verb??) some used
books because $16 I can afford. The only problem is that I want 10 books at
$16 which kind of negates the whole cheap book thing.
Anyway, I have been checking out Amazon and found many books within my price
range but don't know what to get except for Caddisflies and Pop Fleyes. Pop
Fleyes is listed at around $26 new. Do you know how much it costs here???
$90 which is around US$70. See what I mean by expensive??!!
I have been dying to get my hands on some decent books but couldn't do it. I
reckon that if I can get my hands on some used books from Amazon and find
some mags on Ebay then I'll be set for a little while.
I was thinking about a book called 'Tying Emergers'- anyone heard of it??
I was also considering "The Fly Tier's Benchside Reference" but it isn't
available at a price I can deal with at the moment.

What would you all suggest to me??

Thanks,

Reuven
