You can dye feathers and furs wonderfully with rit dye. For the colors and
combinations you want, go to http://www.ritdye.com. The in between colors
are found under the crafts recipes. I just finished dying some rabbit fur
claret with rit dye (scarlet, wine and cocoa brown). Good luck..easy to do.
I've found that if I heat the water in the microwave, prewash the feathers
or fur in dishwashing detergent (I use Dawn) then rinse well, boil the
water, add the rit dye, stir and put in your materials. I really like the
new screw top disposable containers for dying. Joyce
