Does the contact cement get to thick between the layers? That was my concern, I use it on carpeting when I am covering up the stringers on staircases, that way there are no dimples from the staple gun,,just makes it a little tougher when you want to change the carpet 10 years down the line. I have a warm garage even in the winter (with the help of a small electric heater) so maybe I,ll try putting the foam together in there, I do prefer the acetone base but if you say the water base works just as well,,I will give that a shot,,,safer too I guess,
Thanks for all the help
