Allan, And Keith, Thanks for the tips..#1, now that I think about it I do
need to aim my cast higher and let it float down.. On the leaders, I start
with a 7.5ft tapered leader, then, when I use about 2-3 ft of that up tying
on different flies, then I start attaching a 5X tippet....I may be totally
wrong in doing it that way, but it seems to work good so I do it that way..I
guess a trip to the big city is gonna have to be done if I want to buy a rod
without "guessing" at it through magazines, which often don't even tell you
the "action" of a rod...What I may do, is what somebody here told Me and
just stick to my Elcheapo, cause it is a "medium action" and does work good
for Me, so maybe like the saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
Also, when I'm in my boat I get about 25-30 ft from the bank, but when I'm
bank fishing, the lake I fish most, you must cast 45-50 ft or more to get to
the fish, at least right now, because they are in the deeper water now..
Anyway, thanks again for all the tips, Chuck
