If you haven't read the update on the vises yet, the
new one is at www.flyfisherman.com. I just read all
of the today. Still can't afford that LAW...the
Thompson A and the Danivise are still doeing fine for
me (although I did buy the extended arm from Al Beatty
for the Danvise, to make it more funtional for larger
flies).

Byard is smart with me. I told him to charge my dues
but he hasn't yet to my knowledge. He knows I'll
place another order before Sowbug and add it on as my
dues are up in April.

Hey Byard, did you dun me yet or should I put it on
the order? Can I use my gift certificate on this
order or do I need to use it on the one after? Hmmm,
I could pay my dues and ask for a certificate by email
and then place an order? Maybe I should get another
cap instead? Hey, any of those IOFF versions
available? What colors of what are in stock? This
order is looking a bit large. Is there a "volume
discount level" or should I just keep hitting you with
small ones? ;-))) (He might be my friend but I AM a
bit "Dutch" being from PA Dutch country)

One thing I really liked with my last order were the
wing cutters. What materials does the VFB list
recommend to use with them? Also, Byard showed me the
UV Knot Sense system and I really think I'm going for
this. Little things like Swax (have hi-tack and it is
too much for fine thread), more C&F boxes, some silk,
new dubbing (Ice now has steelhead set and STS
Salmon...plus I ask which dubs better..Superfine or
Stalcup), that blue peacock neck has me thinking a
twist on Meck's Patriot and a unique wet fly idea, and
where is the essential guide to choosing CDC as I had
a fair amount but am trying to use my Magic Tool plus
am curious about oiler puffs.

BTW, my "Byard's Gallows Tool" has a broken tension
arm. What size rubberbands should I get? ;-) Also,
I have read and re-read all the reviews Hans did on
vises and am curious about the Mongoose (ring issue).
I almost exclusively tie trout and steelhead flys from
size 6 to 24. My current vise is an AK Best (paid
$200 used when it listed $300) and I considered the
Renzetti Traveler at one point. Which vise would you
all suggest under $300 or preferably under $200? I'd
like to have such things as a bobbin cradle and be
able to setup my gallows tool. Ideas???? PLEASE?
