I've read the other posts.  There are lots of things you can do.  Here's what works for me - lengths of copper or brass tubing, sharpened at one end.  Chuck into you drill press.  Hand tight is good enough.  You can cut about 4 bodies before it binds and you have to remove the tube and punch out the bodies.  Another thing that works is plug cutters, again from harbor freight or your woodworking store.  They create more waste than tubes but you can get a larger size out of your drill since the shaft is stepped down and they will eject the bodiy ithout having to pull the cutter from the drill.  Instead of creating your own foam, flip flops work well also.  Watch for the layered colors.

Now if you really want to get fancy, you need to check out Sleazy Steve's Soogy Bottom Fly Shop. http://www.jvlnet.com/~swinters/   (No Byard doesn't carry these.  I don't think anybody but Steve does.)  Besdies his very nice but too expensive cutters, take a look at the mandrels for shaping your bodies.  Here in Austin we found this guy a couple of years ago, and we're now having a lot of fun with foam.

OK,,,now that Ive got the sheets glued together,,I need some ideas on cutting out the cylinder shapes that are described in the Fly Tying magazine for cutting out yellow- jacket bodies. I believe they were calling it the hammer fly????But I do have the black, yellow, black, yellow and black all glued together and dried,,ends up being about 1/2 thick. I was considering empty bullet shells,,22cal, 38cal. and maybe 9mm. Any other ideas??

Thanks for your time
