Chris, I have to disagree with your statement “All Airflo floating lines are poor”.  It all comes down to a matter of opinion and personal taste.

The early Airflo lines had a lot of memory which was their main problem. Airflo lines are a different technology than the standard PVC coated lines.

Yes, they are different and I think one has to do more than just try them briefly. One tends to compare them to regular PVC based lines

and quickly discard them, but learn to use them and they have advantages. They never crack and last forever.  Airflo sinking lines have

definite advantages, especially in saltwater.  I know people that have tried the Cortland 555 clear floater and hate it, yet I have found it advantageous.

 

It is all a question of personal preference and I think we are lucky to have the choice.

Don't do it. They're shocking. All Airflo floating lines are poor. Introductory offers designed to catch people who haven't been stung by Airflo floaters before. If you want to try a new float take a look at the Sshoot lines. Reviews here:
