i haven't found a shoebox the right size to keep them in with their backings on. I've been looking for an upright chest but i haven't found one I like at a the right price yet. I was lucky enough to find an old dresser in a garage sale,,,small upright with 5 drawers. I stripped it down and found under 4 coats of paint a nice antique oak dresser,,,great for storing necks and not bending the tips up to fit. Try garage sales and sometimes people even put them to the curb. When that happens I look at the drawers to see if they are solid or pressboard. I take all the solid wood drawers and use the wood for making my own projects on the desk.
