Well, I was afraid these "hubcap" sized bluegills i catch might break it ROFL... J/K.. I wish I could catch ANY species that could break a rod... The way I broke my last one is, I tried to pull the floating line out through the eyes, by just grabbing the tippet, and basically bending the rod in a 180 degree angle trying to pull the flyline through the eyes like that, being lazy.. Luckily it was a $29.95 rod, but I bought another JUST like it, cause it is a South Bend Cahill White river and I LOVE that rod.. it's slow action 8 ft 5 wt, but I can now cast it 60 ft and put the fly within a one ft square....(with weight forward line of course) with level line I couldn't cast it 30 ft. and the reason i need to cast it 50-60 ft, is cause I fish in my boat, along the bank, and the farther from the bank that I'm casting towards, the less I spook the fish...Chuck

Seriously, I went last week, when it was 106 degrees, the water was 91.4 degrees, and I thought I would not catch a think.. In just two hours I caught 32 fish, and four of them were right at a pound each..

I use mine 90% of the time. I still use graphite too.
Most bamboo rods are broken just like graphite rods,
car doors and trunk lids.
