Pete,
You either like them or don't. I guess the only way to
know is to try them. I have had some that were stiff
but what I am using now are nice and soft. I was
getting them from Gudebrod but they will not have them
available any more. I like them because they make a
smooth transition with the flyline to the leader and
made it easy to change leaders. Now that I am using
furled leaders, I seldom change leaders. I just add
tippet. I have had the same loop and leader on for at
least five years. Yes, I do fish a lot. This year was
an exception, I only fished about four months this
year due to health problems.
On the loops. I use a size smaller that what it calls
for on the line size. A bit harder to get them on but
I like the way they go through the tip top.
