Just a question for the tiers of these works of art. Does anyone actually
fish with them? Have they ever been working flies?

Not to worry, Don. I believe yours is the most expensive (you win?).
According to his catalog, Ron's most expensive hook is an exhibition Jock
Scott (Stout) 10/0 at $25.50. Still, for an Atlantic Salmon fly hook, that
ain't cheap.

Mark,

Welcome back. We all knew of your flood problems, but boy, what an ordeal.

Whatcha talkin about for these salmon irons, $$$-wise???

My 19/0's cost me $55 without the chain. ThenI have them re-shaped and
painted or plated, which is another $30.
That's plenty for one fly hook. But, they're not 'exposition grade',
they're 'demented grade'.
