Find out what they raised them on and tie something that looks like that.
Fish-pellet food is a go-to fly for stockers.
Call it a PFC fly (Purina Fish Chow).

That's what DonO tells me, anyway.

Hey all,
I was wondering, what are your favorite flies for stocked trout?
Opening day is coming up here in SW PA and I'm getting my gear ready. I've got some of my favorites to tie up, but was looking to expend and try some
new ones. The local stream I fish doesn't have many hatches and the ones
it
does have a very small. I do ok using worm patterns, but nothing has done
well enough to be considered a "go to" fly. Thanks in advance.

Jonathan
