The area around Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, TN would put you within a 2 hour
drive of, believe it or not, over 3,000 miles of fishable trout waters.
Also, there is a Tanger Outlet in Pigeon Forge.

To whom ever can help (or is it who ever?)

My wife and I had to drive a dog down to my mom's in Port Charlotte, Fla a
few weeks ago. Instead of driving back up 95 we decided to take 75 thru the
Great Smokey Mts. We are trying to decide on relocating from New York to
anywhere that has "4 seasons" not as cold and snowy as NY. I'm guessing within
the next 3-4 years. Which gives us some time to search places out. Looking for
possibly a place on a lake, even if the property is there and I have to build.
Driving up 75 we stopped at as many of the real estate places as we could,
took plenty of reading material to go over. But since the topic of fishing in
the Smokies is going on here, I thought I'd toss that question out to the
members here. Are there any places that any of you would move to, or live in
now
that you would recommend to a fellow fly tyer and fly fisherman. Of course
there would have to be an "Outlet Shopping Center" near by for my better half
also (LOL).

Thanks for your time
