The lightest rods I have are 3wts. For the type of fishing I do, which is mainly cutthroat and rainbow trout,I would never go any lighter . When the wind starts to blow casting these light rods can be a real chore. My favorite rod of all is a 10 ft 3wt G Loomis imx no longer available. If I were to lose or break this one I would not be able to replace it.
