Don't know if Byard carries any rods, he might be able
to give you a good deal if he does.
You might also check Global Dorber for a good deal on
rods. They make their own blanks and rods here in good
ole Arkansas.
I go along with trying before buying, if you are not
in a hurry, come to the Sowbug next March, there will
be a lot of rods to try.
