This may not be what you're looking for, but I think that the best "compromise" is using 'NCP' thread without the added color preserver. From personal experience, after a few years, the CP causes the wraps to crack and chip... Again, just my opinion, but I'd stay away from the stuff, personally. Sure, i'd gather that the NCP thread changes a tad, but compared to 'normal' thread, it keeps more of its original color when epoxied. Just my 2 cents worth, Pete
