It's not the saltwater it's most likely the dye job.   
Remember to use clean materials and to wet them before you put them into the
dye bath.   I use a heavy amount of vinegar.  It makes the colors more
vibrant and sets it well.  I have some friends that even use 1/2 vinegar 1/2
water.   Everyone does it a little different but that has worked great for
me.

I have a question for those who know more about dyes than.

Does saltwater make dyes run however much vinegar put in? and how do I 
prevent it?

I have materials dyed both by myself and commercially and the dye is OK 
in freshwater but it runs in saltwater.
