I've got one too and do not like the cam arm. It's too long and it's too far
from the jaws. It is sometime an obstacle. When in line with the jaws, its
tip is almost under the fly. You can turn it some degrees away from you
("passing" the jaws) and it will make it a little bit better and you can
also turn it the other way, but then you have to lower the bobbin craddle or
it will hit that. A while I had serious thoughts of byuing a set of the old
jaws, with thumbscrew tightening.

Ämne: [VFB] Griffin Montana Mongoose Vise ???

Folks: Most of you know that I want to get a better vise... So, I have been
looking at all of them..I have a question about the Griffin Montana Mongoose
(NOT that this is the one I want,I saw something in this one and a cpl
others that I cannot recall right at the moment that I have a question
about).I saw a photo of one at Lines End. Question is, does that lever(the
lever that tightens the Jaws) not get right in your way??? Or does the lever
move side to side???? Thanks, Chuck
