That actually is a very good book for a few reasons... His photography is
beyond belief! Another thing is that he shows you pictures of some birds
that most tiers would never have the ability to purchase. This will enable
you to pick out the best subs to match the real feather. In the back of
that book he has fly plates that again most tiers would never see because
the original book is extremely collectible and pricey. So you have some
inspiration at your fingertips that the average tier probably wouldn't be
aware of.

It includes step by step tutorials with the most in depth description of
each step. I hesitate to put into type that he may be a little obsessive
compulsive. <VBG> I say this with a smile!!! I picked up this book on a
whim last weekend because Mike was at the show with us in Somerset as a
visitor. I didn't know he was coming and I didn't have my other book with
me so I picked up this one and asked him to sign it for me. I didn't get a
chance to review it until I got home this past week. I thought it would be
a repeat of some of the material I already own from him but it really blew
my mind. It's a great book!

On a side note... I got the opportunity to meet both Mike Radencich and
Paul Marriner for the first time in person last weekend and they are both
really great guys! They were so nice and down to earth. I was very
happy to see so many new faces at the show this year. Chuck did a
fantastic job with this show!!!

Deb, great minds think alike I see. ;^) Yah, I had that last article
bookmarked away too when researching married wings.

To learn more about the dark side of tying.. you ultimately may have to
invest in a good book. I've heard this is a good one.

Also, don't overlook 'The Bible' here. Married wings are also covered in it.

I would use this site and do a search within the site for "married wings"
There is a good tutorial there from Ron Lucas.
