Hey Lycien... <( http://www.matthew2k.de.vu )>-=-<( powered by linux)>

I have the exact same problem here and I wrote to Gerd Knorr several times
because he maintains the saa7134 but he seems to be rather busy at the
moment because I haven't received any answer yet. :(

So basically I don't know any fix too but I really would be interested too
to get TV audio working here. :(

You can use a trick to at least get TV audio for the currently tuned in
program: start xawtv, tune to the program and after that, start the radio
tool delivered with xawtv. You will get the audio for the current program
but it will be in mono... and if you switch to a different channel, you've
to use the tool again to get audio. :((

I've looked through the saa7134 driver to maybe locate the problem myself,
but so far, no luck at all. :(

What's *very* strange is that there are *no* messages about the audio init
in my syslog - and there should be according to the sources. :( I have no
idea what's going wrong. As far as I can tell the saa7134-tvaudio stuff is
never being used nor initiliazed otherwise there would be messages.

By the way, do you run native OSS or ALSA with OSS emulation? Just curious
if this is a problem with saa7134-tvaudio not working well with the oss
emu of alsa... because I am running alsa here.

Ok, that's all the infos I have been able to collect. I hope someone can
bring some light into this matter... THANKS in advance guys!

Matthew.
