Ok, just made a first step in the direction of a possible fix. I searched through the mailinglist archive and found a mail by Wan Tat Chee who suggest to someone with similar problems that he should change: aumux: TV to aumux: LINE2 in saa7134-cards.c in the FLYVIDEO3000 section. I have done that and I get the following result: sound works for both, TV and radio *but* there are some strange side effects: * audio is activated as soon as the saa7134 module is being loaded * audio cannot be muted with xawtv or gnomeradio * audio in TV mode is only *mono* whereas the radio is stereo... changing the mode in xawtv has no effect... *panic* * audio volume is very faint - I have to bring up the volume of my line in to 100%... using the mixer device of the saa7134 doesn't work well too, because if I try to change the values, the slider just jumps to 100% and doesn't move a bit anymore... no matter with what tool I try it. :((( And there are also two picture problems: * using the v4l support of X, my matrox card should scale the image up to the current resolution - when I try that, the image is indeed scaled to the max but it has the wrong aspect ratio (the image is squeezed in width and has a corrupted bar right next to the picture) * grabdisplay in xawtv doesn't work at all - does that mean, grabbing is not possible at the moment at all?
