So was I. Which is why I've opened and closed EVERY episode of my podcast since Episode 3 I believe with a song (at varying lengths) which I downloaded from them. But I guess not?
That begs this question.....Erin, do you sell ANYTHING on your website (or even the place where your videos are stored)? If so, that could be where you got stung. I *don't* make any $$$ from my podcasts OR the place where my podcasts are stored (Not only that, but Google hosts the page via its Blogger service and the IA is used for storing the podcasts themselves and providing the bandwidth neccessary for people to download them), so I'd bet I'm pretty much safe *knocking on wood* :-)
Anyway! Yes, be mindful of where you get your music.
I still use major artists' music though, but I promote the purchase of
their music with iTunes links to the songs I use. I just hope the RIAA
doesn't come crashing down on me. :(
