i read that huge thread that steve watkins started on FireANT. not sure where that came from. not sure where this conversation....we havent said "open source" and ANT in the same sentence in at least 5 months. please send me a dated message if im wrong. if you see it in any of the "read me"...its becasue its an old version...and we need to erase it. new versions and completely updated versions are coming out this month. they are hot becasue we have fucking kicked ass building it. there was a time(Jan/Feb 2005) when we thought we'd go open source. the idea was that there'd be all these developers who jump in and help us. we had no idea what we were doing. very quickly we learned differently. the 2 developers, Daniel and Erik, who stepped up to build what we all enjoy for free....want to make sure that we have control over the fruits of our labor. remember its coming up on a year of late nights and weekends of us sitting in front of computers... building. i love it. and i love you steve of elbows.
