Looks like 3ivx has the Mac Version for Quicktime 7 out! It's at <a href="" target="_blank">http://www.3ivx.com/download/macos.html</a>. I download it, installed it and ran 3ivx dual mode compression through Final Cut Pro. Looks just as good or better than it did on Quicktime 6 and looks good on the video iPod!
