I too loved Adcritic way back when...but pay to see ads? Ha! I always
found it very ironic that these companies sought so hard to find a
market and then right when the market is coming to them charge for
it. Ha! Certainly the world is moving the other way now... Movie
trailers are a good sign of this... they float everywhere...
advertising is seeking to get more viral, more portable. They more
than anyone in traditional media realize the potential of social media.

THere should always be and will always be lots of communities...
there will be no one "directory" to rule them all... THere will be
communities within educational institutions, communities of ad
fanatics, communities of independent artists... all free to seek out
and explore their own relationships through sometimes the exact same
media.

One day you'll be able to see what a bunch of adbusters has to say
about an ad and skip over and see what a bunch of adcentric people
have to say... if it's a car ad you could go see what a bunch of car
owners or buyers have to say. But let's just kill this concept of the
perfect directory now, it's the differences between us and our
communities which make life so meaningful and interesting. I believe
this is the core concept behind the end of objectivity... Admit there
is no such thing as objectivity in the news and then start
acknowledging and being honest about your point of view, thus
allowing others to value your news for it's perspective, not in
denial of it's bias.
