Is anyone using the Archos AV500 (or that giant AV700) player.

I want to get one to play with.

I just got a Sony PSP, & want to transcode my .mp4 videos to PSP format.

I saw the Gemini at Fry's, & it looks interesting.  That AV500 looks really sexy, although bigger than the more compact Gemini.

Is anyone using the HP iPaq 3715?  It has a builtin camera (which can do video)..that can *record* pics/video.

Thank you Michael,

MediaCoder appears to be working brilliantly!  Videora Converter didn't seem to have any settings for the Gmini, though I may still use Videora to search for video online.  (I dig its integrated search engine.)

I can't believe how fast MediaCoder is transcoding; it's truly amazing!  This is how it should be...Now I'm going to take my Gmini down to my local cafe and see how well the video turned out...

Thanks,
Harold

Michael Sullivan or anyone who knows,

What do you find to be the best way to translate your video downloads to the format which the Archos players can play?  I've got an Archos Gmini 402 camcorder/player, and though it includes VirtualDub software, the software isn't able to translate .mov files.  So I've been opening my .mov downloads in QuickTime Pro, converting to .avi, and then using VirtualDub to convert to the type of .avi file the Gmini wants.

This isn't terribly difficult, but I'm thinking there must be an easier way --  a one-step process, rather than this two-step method.  Anyone know?

Thank you,
Harold
