That video (that series of videos) probably cost more than we can imagine and probably more than anyone on this board has spent in a year on his own work. And to make matters worse, it was hoakey. The awe-shucks sensibility that pervades it is so tiresome and hackneyed. Do you think that Bush read his lines for it moments before or after he committed to actions that would lead to thousands of more people being killed? There's something pathologically disconnected about its aesthetic. We see, yet again, Bush sitting among the children. Maybe he's trying to tell us somethnig. Maybe he knows what some of us won't admit: he belongs at the kiddie table.
