Hi Heath, I am actually (and inadvertently) doing a combination of personal and show vlog. We have one year event Saturday, and (presumably) will have created 365 episodes, one every single day.
We started it for ourselves, in large part to play with the technology and in some other part to see how it would affect us and to find out if anyone else was interested in it. Turns out that the energy flow back and forth from us to the viewers is amazing. Yes, there is a connection that can take place and I love it. I just completed an audience survey too, and they love being able to experience Hawai'i and share in the aloha spirit. The personal emails I get about people recovering from cancer, getting out of the winter doldrums, de-stressing after their days, even running marathons while listening to our shows I find truly amazing! I feel so lucky to be living here; I am thrilled to be able to share it with others around the world. My commitment to the project is to keep sharing both a few minutes of my day and this beautiful place. At the end of the day though, if it's not keeping me happy and full of aloha, then something will have to change.
