I like the idea of tracts of events, speaking as someone who does go 
to a lot of conventions (ok, they are comic, sci-fi and Pop culture 
cons but still a con's a con) a week is to long....people have 
vacations, family, money considerations just to name a few.  Most 
conventions are held over 2-3 days which usually is plenty of time if 
you have multiple things going on, some at the same time.  

Just my 2 cents

And yeah an editing tract would be fantastic!
