Bill, does yours allow you to angle it back so you can film yourself with more than an arm's distance? Or do you use it for a stabilizer only?
Secret Cameraman made me one that I can anchor against my waist and walk with the camera aimed back toward me. It's basically a telescoping shower curtain rod with a tripod bracket (recycled form an old broken tripod) attached. We can make use of the swivel head so it can be used a single leg stand or angled back as "me-pod" or whatever you might call it. Nonetheless, it's nice to know about backups. FWIW, I showed it in this episode: http://www.beachwalks.tv/2007/02/18/beach-walk-360-loose-ends/ Aloha, Rox On 5/14/07, Bill Streeter <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > > > Yes monopods are a great and deceptively simple solution.
