Dave,
I'm not certain what the difference is, either. I do know that I was
confused as hell buying my c6 because I was shopping on ebay (I'm
cheap, and I'm trusting) and there were different model numbers
assigned for what seemed to be the exact same camera but made for
different markets (For home vs. US export vs. Eurpoean export). I
don't know if that's also the case here. 

All the technical info I got on the Xactis (including comparision
videos, stills etc) came from Steve's Digicams as well as the user
forums over there. Honestly, it doesn't get more thorough.

Unfortunately here doesn't have a review of the E1 but he does have
