I believe Irina also suffered the same result recently... via spock. It's possible this has happened to me once, not entirely sure.
Importing address books... such a powerful feature it is. But the services that do this must mickey mouse the UI, assuring that nothing will be emailed until it is obviously deliberate by the user. Ideally, an openID type of service for our address books would prob work. and may already exist. ??
