I'm curious, my immediate reaction was to slam Spock on twitter and elsewhere, but I'd really love to know what others think of them.
What got me was Spock's circular process for trying to opt out. Whereas I didn't ask to be included and didn't even know who they were, I had to *verify* my email address to opt out. I then get an email which points me back to their website which sends me another email, which points me back to the website in an infinite loop. I've heard of opt out before, but this is an impossible opt out for a service I didn't have any dealings with whatsoever. Just like a spam mail which says "click here to opt out" and for all I know about as trustworthy.
