So yeah, the Spock thing. When I checked on it, I *thought* it was saying, "We'll check your address book against members and see if you want to connect to people already on." What it did was email pretty much all/any/every email in my gmail account, really badly.
I apologize. What happened AFTER that was that I cleared out my ENTIRE gmail account's contact list, stripped it down, and then tidied it up. I won't use a service's auto-invite feature any more because Spock caused me quite a stir. It's definitely less-than-personal to mass email people invites, but is it a whole-hog evil-bastard sin? Seems that's the tone here. But then, I'm not normally on the plus side of this list, so it's a status I'm fairly used to at this point. --Chris...
