The older version, my version, had a 1440x900 max. resolution, but the video card could pump out a hefty 1920x1200 to an external monitor. I'm pretty sure you're looking at a new one, but yeah, you should definitely call to find out what that matte is they're talking about. Seems pointless to me. Good luck!
