Hi Marynelle,

Why reinvent the wheel??

Attached is what I did--granted it's not up to date and you may want to
arrange it differently. Basically, I checked the website of our most
used vendors to verify URL and get the PPR statement. If the PPR
statement was too long I put the contents in a word doc and saved it in
a separate folder.

Updating this to include contact info and order method would be a great
student project--thanks for giving me the idea!

Subject: [Videolib] PPR project advice

Hello again,

Has anyone undertaken a project to identify PPR for an existing
collection of films from a variety of producers and distributors? Would
you mind sharing how you organized your project?

Thank you for your assistance.

Marynelle

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
